Win an Epi Les Paul Custom
Epiphone has just launched a competition in conjunction with The Plain White T’s to win an Epi Les Paul Custom in white (naturally). Oh, and there’s also a contest to win a Prophecy SG GX, but I know which I’d [...]

Following my post on the Wilshire 1962 Reissue, UK blog, GuitarCollecting has a good over view of it here.
How To Make A Gibson Les Paul
It’s not an Epi, but it’s the next best thing From Guitarist: How To Make A Gibson Les Paul. Gibson has posted an exhaustive factory visit-style piece that details the processes involved in putting together a US-made Gibson Les Paul. [...]
Epiphone Les Paul Standard Guitar Review – Review of the Epiphone Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar
About.com has a review of an Epiphone Les Paul Standard and, no surprise, it does very well. I particularly liked the line “for 1/3 the price of a Gibson this is an extremely good value! It kicks all my Fenders’ [...]
Adding Videos of Strum Patterns | A Guitar Teachers Lesson Notebook
add videos of him demonstrating strum patterns and link them to the chord charts on his site. Getting the strum pattern right is something that can be difficult to do, and impossible if you only read a Tab or chord chart, rather than actually listen to the song you’re learning.
It’s a brilliant idea and one which will certainly help and inspire me to learn new material
Talking about strumming, so many of us focus on getting left hand (or right hand if your a lefty) that we don’t spend enough time practising strumming technique. It has two-piece flame maple (it’s the flame effect that differentiates the Plus Top from other LP Standard models) top. As you would expect from an Epi Les Paul, attention to detail is acute. Cream bindings, pickguard and pick-up surrounds? Check. Chrome pick-up covers? Check. Green tulip-head tuning pegs? Check.
BB King’s One Kind Favor
Like Dan, I’m a BB King fan (have I mentioned that before?) but have been less than impressed with much of his studio albums for the last 20 or so years (there are exceptions, such as his collaboration with Eric [...]
Epiphone Les Paul ES Custom Review
Steve has written an excellent and very detailed review of theEpiphone Les Paul ES Custom on Guitar-247. It’s unique for an EPi Les Paul in that it has f-holes, but Steve concludes that ‘It plays well, sounds amazing, feels so well balanced and is stunningly beautiful.’
Can’t say fairer than that.
