RIP Mitch Mitchell
Guitar Player Zen has a post on the sad death of Jimi Hendrix Experience drummer, Mitch Mitchell.
As well as being drummer on JHE albums, Are You Experienced, Electric Ladyland, and Axis: Bold as Love, Mitchell played with the Pretty Things and Georgie Fame and the blue Flames. He was also drummer in The Dirty Mac, a band formed for The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus which also featured John Lennon on vocals, Eric Clapton on guitar, and Keith Richards on bass.
Immediately prior to his death, Mitchell travelled the US on the 2008 Experience Hendrix tour celebrating the legacy of the legendary guitarist with the likes of Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, and Hubert Sumlin.

In reading this, i Just discovered Mitch died. RIP Mitch. I enjoyed playing with him a few times around ‘87 - ‘90. Sorry you’ve gone man.
